Monki Bralette, H&M Boots, Nixon Watch, Quay Sunglasses, Poppy Lissiman Clutch
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette in Dolce Vita, L’Oreal Mascara, Elizabeth and James Perfume, RMS Living Luminizer, Sephora X Nail Polish, Essie Nail Polish, Bite Beauty Lip Crayon, Nars Foundation
Just a compilation of some of my favorite things in the past couple months. The H&M boots were such a steal! Super comfortable and looks way more expensive than they actually are. I’ve been OBSESSED with the Poppy Lissiman Pizza Illuminati clutch. Dear Poppy sent me this as a gift for being runner up in her most recent Instagram contest and it’s been with me since then.
The Anastasia Contour Kit. One word, YES. It really does live up to the hype. There’s a reason why it’s always sold out! It gives the most perfect and natural contour. The lip crayon from Bite Beauty has not left my lips since I got this last month. Amazing pigmentation and staying power even after a meal.

Acne Studios Dress, Chanel Bag, Topshop Boots
I’m typically not the biggest fan of pink. But this insanely simple pink wall just oozed cool. Okay. I get that it’s literally just pink. But sometimes, you don’t need all the excess glitz and glamour to make something stand out. Am I right?! I fell absolutely in LOVE with this shirt dress from Acne Studios during my trip to NYFW last month. I’ve always been obsessed with Acne Studios’ aesthetic and this dress is just so perfect!
I know it’s been a while since my last post, but it’s been SO crazy the past month. I recently just moved to LA and it’s been a real whirlwind! Two internships and 6 classes really take up a gal’s time! I still want to explore different places in LA and hopefully I’ll be able to real soon.
Do you guys have any suggestions? What are your fav spots in LA?

With a full day of being a tourist in Hong Kong, my friend and I found a cool street that ran through Central that was filled with fruit and vegetable stands. And obviously, we just had to nonchalantly do a photo shoot there.
Without trying to offend anyone, I want to say that I honestly feel that a lot of Hong Kong’s culture has faded into a cultivation of a ton of different other country’s cultures and subcultures. Advertisements are now mainly composed of Korean or Japanese celebrities. Stores and brands are being imported from the US, Europe, and South Korea. It’s crazy how so much of Hong Kong has adapted to a foreign culture.
And on the same note, it was a real task trying to find really native Hong Kong places last minute. I’m sure there are a TON of cool and very Hong Kong kind of spots that I have yet to discover. I guess it’s kind of nice that you really have to dig and find these gems in such a wild place.
Have y’all ever visited Hong Kong?
What are your thoughts?

American Apparel Dress, J. Crew Shirt, Chanel Bag, Sam Edelman Sandals
Can you imagine the thrill of doing a shoot in the middle of a busy street with huge trucks constantly about to run you over?
The struggles of getting a good shot right?
Probably the most awkward thing, besides being almost run over multiple times, is posing directly in front of business stalls. Half the time, the vendors are borderline about to shoo us away and the other half, their eyes full of amusement seeing me try to look natural and running away to avoid cars.
We shot this after grabbing a brief local HK-style brunch at the famous Australian Dairy Company. No, we did not go to a dairy farm to drink milk. And let me tell you. It was an experience. Never have a I actually been thrown looks when having a catch up sesh with a friend over some eggs, toast, and milk tea. I get there’s a line and all, but at least let me eat in peace for more than 15 minutes. I swear we scarfed down our food, paid, and left within a grand total of 20 minutes. Real attractive image yeah?

Let’s be real here. At this point, who DOESN’T know about Warby Parker?
The brand that lets you buy a pair of rad specs for a good cause? Sign me up! I remember stopping by their SoHo showroom when I was in New York a few years ago, hoping to finally grab myself something, but for some darn reason, which probably ended up being my strangely shaped and incredibly large head, I wasn’t able to find a good fitting pair. Now, fast forward to a few months ago, on a spontaneous trip down to L.A. I made SURE to stop by. First at the Standard Hotel in DTLA, then again at the Standard in Hollywood. FINALLY! I was able to get myself not one, but TWO pairs of glasses.
Does someone who wears contacts 90% of the time need two pairs of glasses? Probably not.
Enough with my ode to Warby Parker! As of today, WP has launched a new collection dubbed ‘Beacon’, in honor of the slither of time right before a sunset/sunrise. It’s one of those blink and you’ll miss it kind of things. This collection was inspired by amazing memories of rooftop sunrises, all-nighters with amazing music and friends, and everything of the like.
You know those nights. The ones where time just dissipates and becomes less of a reality and the moment and present just takes over. Where everything becomes a blur, hours and hours become a mere state of mind.
The ‘Beacon’ Collection features 6 awesome sunnies and 4 glasses! As most of you guys probably know already, I have a slight obsession with transparent and huge frames.
So the Moonstone would come to no surprise as one of my favorites! Along with Moonstone, I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the Revolver Black and Oak Barrel. These are just some of my picks, but you guys should definitely check out the rest of the collection here!
As I publish this post, I am packing for my trip to New York tonight, and I can’t wait to stop by their showroom to see the new collection!
What do you guys think of the ‘Beacon’? What are your faves?

How CUTE are these pandas?!
COS Dress, Steve Madden Shoes, Top Shop Backpack, QUAY Sunglasses
The humidity in Hong Kong is KILLER guys. Nobody’s playing games here. Behind the smiling is a desperate cry for some nice air conditioning. I recently trekked all the way to Sheung Wan and Central District to have an amazing lunch at Cha Cha Wan and visit the 1600 Panda Exhibition at PMQ.
PMQ is the awesome, hole-in-the-wall (but not really anymore), building that used to be an old police dorm. They filled each “dorm room” with different little boutiques. How rad is that?! And for a limited time, they featured 1600 pandas to support the movement to save the remaining 1600(ish) pandas in the world. I love the fact that this project is making such a HUGE splash and utilizing social media to its advantage. They had this designated areas where you could take selfies with the little pandas too!

Upside of shooting in Chinatown? Not too strange to passerbys since it’s such a touristy area! *thumbs up
You see this last picture? Let’s be real here. I was trying to properly walk candidly. Hence the build-up-to-laughter kind of smile you see on my face because I almost fell over right after the shutter went off. As most of you guys know from reading my blog, I’m not exactly the most careful type. I trip, I fall, I stumble, I laugh excessively. Okay, we get it. What’s the point??? I just wanted to let y’all know that if you have an issue with posing or taking pictures without looking super awkward like me, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! Okay, but I’m pretty sure you guys are better at standing still and looking natural than me!
Anyway, I spent the day with my good friend, Jeremy, who doubles as my part-time photographer. My favorite kind of friend. haha just kidding. If you guys got the sarcasm in that, we should just be friends already But, in all seriousness, he is pretty amazing with angles, composition, and finding the light. I like to say that my “expertise” try saying that without laughing, Carmen.. in posing takes all the credit, but I think it’s safe to say that it’s definitely a joint effort haha And for the more up-close-and-personal pictures, I have officially confirmed that I can’t smize. Sorry Tyra!
We stopped by SF Chinatown for a quick photoshoot, just because I haven’t been there for at least a few years. The area has really changed since I last remembered and half the time we were trying not to get hit by oncoming cars as we shot in the middle of the street, we found some awesome spots in the center of Chinatown. I seriously need to get my tush to Chinatown more often!

I was so obsessed with these cool light fixtures at LACMA
Overly excited for the ride!!!! (Even though it was an hour wait)
Front row viewing of World of Colors! Does anyone feel like they want to cry during the show? No one? Oh..
Last weekend, I went down to LA to hang out with some friends and take a quick breather from my internship and school. We spent our first day at Disneyland, the most magical place on Earth! If only that magic would make it cheaper and make my feet hurt less at the end of the day! Disappointingly, a lot of the rides were closed, but Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain were FINALLY open! With 3 past failed attempts, we can officially say we rode the Radiator Springs ride! Can you believe the ride can be up to a 2.5 hour wait?! That’s so crazy! TIP: Their fast passes run out by 10:30 or 11AM.
The second day, we stopped by LACMA! And yes, we went in and not just went for the lights. Lucky for us, the museum had free admission for Bank of America card holders that day! The exhibits and fixtures were very cool and some more so eclectic. Nonetheless, I always loved going to art museums. Not just for the accomplished feeling of being “artsy-fartsy”, but it really does make me think outside of the box and as to how the artist comes up with such fascinating art. Art is such a relative and abstract medium. Each piece touches its audience differently. That’s why I find art so fascinating!
How about you guys?

Uniqlo Shirt, Topshop Jeans, Zara Clutch, Asos Heels
I was so excited to finally get to attend a SF based event hosted by TopCoat last Thursday! The event was so crazy! Free manis, floral crown DIYs, complimentary blowouts, boutiques, drinks, and cake pops! So much fun!
I wore this new linen striped top from Uniqlo and it has seriously become one of my favorite pieces for a casual look that can be dressed up or dressed down. I guess I decided to go with a more casual night out look because something in me really wanted to wear the shirt with some boyfriend jeans, and heels.
These jeans are one of my favorite so far! I love the off-duty look of boyfriend jeans and how it makes every outfit ooze with cool factor. But, it is just so damn hard to find a pair that fit well. And these are so perfect because they’re high waisted-ish, but still have that loose and comfy fit while still being versatile because of the dark wash.

Topshop Shirt, Zara Jacket and Pants, Nastygal Shoes
The weather was so incredibly nice today in Basel. To be honest, I wasn't prepared. Before coming here, I checked the weather and it was supposed to be under 60F every day. It's by no means warm, but it's just, well, perfect. Not too hot and not too cold. At night, you barely need a jacket.
This neon shirt was my way of brightening up my outfits. I've been sticking to an all black ensemble lately and I was in dire need of some color in my life. It was one of my New Years resolutions to wear more color. There goes another goal out the window! How bout you guys? Do you wear tons of color or tend to stick to darker ones?
